One of South Korea's leading K-league clubs, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motor has recently been found guilty of bribing referees in K League matches back in 2013. You can find out more detailed information regarding these incidents by reading the article:

"According to the Busan District Prosecutors' Office, the scout, only identified by his surname Cha, allegedly bribed two referees in the K League Classic by handing each of them 1 million won (US$840) per match and asking them to make favourable calls for Jeonbuk."

"The prosecutors said one referee, 41, received money twice, while another referee, 36, accepted the bribes from the Jeonbuk scout three times during 2013, but didn't reveal in which matches they allegedly made favourable calls for Jeonbuk. The Jeonju-based club finished third in the league in 2013 before winning two consecutive titles in the following years."

 

But the issue is, the punishment K League is about to impose on Jeonbuk is so minuscule that it doesn't seem like punishment at all. Only 9 points taken away from their standing in the league table, which leaves them with points just 5 higher than the second placed team, FC Seoul, however given the number of matches left till the end of season and considering the unbeatable strength Jeonbuk has shown throughout the season, the worst case scenario of Jeonbuk still winning the 2016 season K League even with the penalty in effect, is very very likely to happen. We suspect these series of shameless acts are happening due to power Hyundai Cars Group, the owners of Jeonbuk has over the K League officials.  

We request FIFA and AFC to intervene and make K League impose a more severe penalty on Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors to set an example of justice that should be done on such a scandalous bribing club, to not just South Korea, but to the entire football world.
