-¿Cómo vive su experiencia con Corea del Sur?
-Muy bien. No me hacía una idea de lo que nos esperaba ahí. Nunca habíamos trabajado en un país asiático. Un entrenador no puede pedir más disciplina a un equipo. Es impresionante la voluntad con la que se trabaja. Y la Federación estupenda. Con la final de la Copa de Asia ya hemos dado un paso importante. En el ránking de la FIFA hemos subido del 69 al 54.

-Yo creo que si, pero es un poquito curioso. La Liga coreana, la verdad, no es muy fuerte. Por el contrario, la exigencia para el equipo nacional es inmensa. Tenemos cuatro jugadores en Alemania, dos en Inglaterra, y la gran mayoría en países asiático: Japón, China... Tengo dudas de que el nivel de estas últimas Ligas nos permita subir el nivel. Los jugadores de Europa están mejor preparados.
